Descripción
This premium Black Japanese selvedge denim is woven on traditional shuttle looms using organic cotton blended with a small amount of spandex, offering a subtle, comfortable stretch while preserving the crisp structure of heritage denim.
The fabric features a herringbone twill weave, creating a refined chevron texture that adds depth, durability, and visual interest beyond standard denim. The authentic red-line selvedge reflects classic Japanese loom weaving, producing a tightly controlled, beautifully balanced cloth.
Dyed in raw indigo, the warp yarns are rope-dyed before weaving, allowing the dye to sit on the fiber surface. This enables the denim to develop natural fades, contrast, and patina with wear — a signature of true raw denim.
At 12.5 oz (≈ 390 GSM), this is a robust yet wearable weight, ideal for jeans, jackets, and structured garments. The light stretch improves comfort and movement without compromising durability or vintage character.
Perfect for:
Premium jeans and trousers
Denim jackets and chore coats
Workwear and heritage garments
Raw denim projects with comfort stretch

Firm and dry to the touch initially, with a subtle spring from the spandex. The fabric has a structured, tailored drape that softens and molds to the body over time, developing character while retaining its shape better than 100% cotton denim.
