Descripción
A rare, slow-made handwoven denim with a palpable heritage character. This cloth balances structure with suppleness — substantial enough for tailored garments, yet responsive and wearable. The interplay of natural annatto and indigo dyes gives the fabric a depth of color that feels layered, living, and unmistakably artisanal rather than industrial.
This denim is woven by hand on traditional floor looms using combed cotton yarns. The cloth is constructed in a classic twill (denim) weave, which creates the diagonal rib on the surface and lends the fabric its characteristic strength.
Two distinct natural dye stories are offered:
Terracotta — dyed with annatto seeds, yielding a warm, earthy red-brown with subtle tonal variation.
Indigo Blue — vat-dyed with natural indigo, building color gradually through multiple dips to achieve a rich, inky depth.
Because both shades are naturally dyed, gentle irregularities in tone are inherent to the process and are a mark of craftsmanship rather than a flaw.

IDEAL USES
Structured jackets, chore coats, and overshirts
Workwear-inspired trousers and tailored pants
Artist aprons, utility garments, and slow-fashion pieces
Bags, totes, and small leather goods linings
Patchwork, visible mending, and sashiko-style embellishment
WASH & CARE + DISCLAIMERS
Cold, gentle hand wash recommended; mild pH-neutral detergent
Wash dark (indigo) separately — initial crocking is normal
Avoid prolonged soaking; reshape while damp and line dry
Expect natural softening over time
Natural dyes may mellow gradually with use and light exposure — this is part of their beauty
