      Descripción

This beautiful handwoven dupion silk is made from pure mulberry silk filaments, reeled and woven to create the characteristic slubbed, slightly irregular texture that defines true dupion. The yarns are left in their raw state, preserving the silk’s natural body, grain, and subtle matte sheen.

Dupion silk is created by weaving together two filaments from separate cocoons, which naturally form the gentle slubs and cross-grain texture visible across the cloth. These variations give the fabric its lively surface and signature artisan appeal.

At 210 GSM, this silk has a balanced medium weight — crisp enough to hold pleats and structure, yet fluid enough to drape with elegance. It is ideal for tailored garments, couture dresses, statement jackets, blouses, ceremonial wear, and refined home accents.

The fabric has a softly lustrous yet matte finish, reflecting light in a refined way without looking shiny or artificial. Over time, it softens beautifully while maintaining its strength and shape.
