Japanese Selvedge Denim Fabric - 33" Wide, 396 GSM (14 oz)
$26.49Excl. T.V.A.
Description
This premium Japanese selvedge denim is woven on traditional shuttle looms using organic cotton blended with a small amount of spandex, giving the fabric a comfortable light stretch while preserving the authentic structure of heritage denim.
This version is woven in a classic 3×1 twill, producing the smooth diagonal grain that defines traditional denim. This weave offers excellent strength, abrasion resistance, and clean fades, making it the gold standard for jeans and workwear.
The fabric is dyed in raw indigo, with warp yarns rope-dyed before weaving. This allows the indigo to slowly wear away with use, revealing high-contrast fades, whiskers, and vintage patina over time — exactly what denim enthusiasts seek.
At 14 oz (≈390 GSM), this denim is substantial yet wearable, ideal for year-round garments. The added spandex improves mobility and comfort without taking away from the authentic raw-denim feel.
Perfect for:
Premium jeans and trousers
Denim jackets & overshirts
Workwear and heritage garments
Raw denim projects with comfort stretch
