      Description

A commanding yak wool–cotton herringbone tweed in deep charcoal gray, combining natural insulation with added structure and durability. At 380 GSM, this is a true heavyweight fabric—dense, warm, and enduring—yet slightly crisper and more stable than pure yak wool alone. Yak wool (≈70%) provides warmth, breathability, and a soft, lofty character, while cotton (≈30%) adds firmness, abrasion resistance, and improved wear for tailored garments. The result is a heritage-minded tweed with a cleaner line and excellent longevity.

      2) How It’s Made

This fabric is woven in a traditional herringbone tweed structure, where alternating twill directions form the classic broken chevron pattern. Yak wool fibers, sourced from the insulating undercoat, are blended with cotton to balance warmth and structure. The cloth is lightly milled and brushed to soften the surface while retaining the herringbone's definition and the stability required for tailoring and outerwear.

      3) Technical Specifications

Fiber: 80% Wool + 20% rPET (for structure)
      Construction: Herringbone tweed
      Weight: 380 GSM (heavyweight)
      Width: 58 inches (147 cm)
      Finish: Lightly milled and brushed
      Stretch: None (stable woven)
      Opacity: Fully opaque
Surface: Defined herringbone with softened woolen face
      Color: Charcoal gray

      4) Handfeel & Drape

Warm and dense from the yak wool, with a slightly firmer, cleaner hand due to the cotton content. The drape is structured and architectural—excellent for garments that need to hold shape and wear well over time. Less spongy than pure wool tweed, more tailored in character.

      5) Ideal Uses

      Overcoats, jackets, and tailored outerwear
      Blazers and structured wool layers
      Winter trousers, skirts, and overskirts
      Capes, cloaks, and heritage silhouettes
Cushions, throws, and durable interior accents
      (Not suitable for stretch-dependent patterns.)

      Dry clean recommended
Do not machine wash or tumble dry
Steam lightly to refresh between wears
Store folded or hung with proper support
Always test a small swatch before cutting yardage
