Description
This beautifully airy, handwoven Eri silk fabric is made from Ahimsa (peace) silk, where the cocoons are harvested only after the moth has emerged. The silk is spun rather than reeled, giving the fabric a softly slubbed, matte surface with a gentle, organic texture.
At 170 GSM, this is a lightweight, breathable silk with fluid drape and quiet elegance. It feels soft and cool against the skin, making it ideal for warm-weather garments, scarves, layering pieces, and delicate home textiles. The handloom weaving introduces subtle variations in weave and tone that make each meter unique.
Unlike glossy mulberry silk, Eri silk has a calm, natural finish—luxurious without shine, and beautifully suited to minimalist, slow-fashion designs.
