      Description

This exquisite fabric is handwoven from Eri silk, also known as peace silk, prized for its matte glow, strength, and naturally irregular beauty. Unlike filament silks, Eri is spun from broken cocoons, giving the yarn a softly slubbed, organic character that is clearly visible in the cloth.

The weaving showcases beautiful long striations, subtle flame textures, and tonal variations that occur naturally in Eri silk. No artificial uniformity is imposed—each yard carries the quiet rhythm of hand-spun yarns and hand-controlled looms.

At 220 GSM, this is a mid-to-heavyweight silk with real presence. It has enough body for jackets, structured dresses, tunics, and trousers, while still retaining the breathable softness Eri silk is known for. The surface is matte, dry, and tactile—luxurious without shine.

The color is the silk’s natural ivory tone, gently warm and earthy, making it ideal for designers who value authentic, undyed fiber aesthetics or want a base for plant dyeing.
