Description
Harris-Style Italian Wool Herringbone Tweed Fabric
1. Fabric overview
A premium Harris-style herringbone tweed fabric, made with Italian wool and a small percentage of recycled polyester for added structure. The fabric has a classic black, white, and charcoal herringbone base with distinct yellow flecks woven throughout, giving it a refined heritage tweed character.
This fabric is Harris-style / Harris-inspired and is not authentic Harris Tweed or made in Scotland.
2. How it’s made
Woven in a bold herringbone weave, this fabric carries the traditional broken-chevron structure associated with classic tweeds. The Italian wool provides warmth, texture, and a premium woolly handfeel, while the 10% recycled polyester is intentionally added to improve stiffness, balance, shape retention, and overall stability.
The recycled polyester does not overpower the wool-rich nature of the cloth. It simply helps the fabric hold form beautifully for structured garments like coats, jackets, blazers, and overshirts.
